After kicking off the SMART project virtually in January 2022 the team met for the first time in person between 2-4 April in Hauts-de-France to review the work carried out to date, which includes a comprehensive collection of best practices linked to digital tools supporting sustainable tourism and destinations, which will be available on our website before the summer. Work will soon start on our Manual that will provide professionals with a detailed overview of challenges, skills needs and opportunities linked to current trends in digitalisation for sustainable tourism in our partner countries (France, Spain, and Greece).
The SMART project team used the opportunity to familiarise itself with the regional tourism ecosystem and got introduced to local sustainable and digital practices linked to gastronomy, accommodation and destinations in general.
The second partner meeting is planned for July 2022 in Greece.
